My name is Intikhab Ali. I am from Trinidad and Tobago where I worked at the Ministry of Health for two years and as a primary school teacher for 15 years before coming to Canada.

I attended the Nova Career Centre where I completed a DEP in residential and commercial drawing, and subsequently, worked as a substitute teacher in the field. I also completed the Nursing Assistant course at the Nova Career Centre in Ormstown. Working at Mouvement Action Découverte is a unique experience as participants are dynamic and diverse in many ways. Every day is different. I like to help participants and in return, they are always grateful.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling with my family, discovering new places, gardening, and dragon boating.
